If you really knew me you would know?

That I have a photographic memory for random sports facts and statistics.

Where do you find joy in your life?

Hanging with my wife and our two dogs and engaging with other highly ambitious human beings.

What’s your next adventure?

The Hardrock 100 – a legendary 100 mile ultramarathon through the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado. Also, the forever adventure of entrepreneurship.

What is your superpower?

Suffering and conversating.

What does it mean to be a man?

To be a man is to be strong and flexible in equal measure and at different times. To be confident, vulnerable, and introspective without shame.

Right now, what do you want and how do you feel?

I want this godforsaken pandemic to end. I want to compete again. I feel impatient, but also more motivated and optimistic about life than I have in a very long time!

What has been your biggest challenge?

Dealing with a full year of injury and depression in 2019. Facing the reality that my career might be over. Like all hard times, this period had a silver lining — encouraging me to start my new training app for trail runners called Pyllars.

What has been your peak experience?

Winning a 100-mile race in Japan by only two minutes after taking the lead with only 5k to go. It doesn’t get any closer than that!

What is your biggest fear?

Being an average Joe. Not having an impact on the world or my community.

What about Red Bull resonates with you?

Red Bull resonates with me because of the high-performance culture and unrelenting pursuit of being the best. Excellence lives where hard work meets creativity!
