Men’s Emotional Leadership Training

This weekend retreat is one of EVRYMAN’s deepest growth experiences for men looking to take their social and emotional life-skills to the next level. Not only will you learn and grow yourself, but you’ll develop practical skills to help other men in their journey as well.

Driving:

  1. From I-87, take exit 19 for Kingston, NY.
  2. After paying the toll, stay right to turn onto Route 28.
  3. Take Route 28 about 20 miles. Once you pass the Phoenicia Diner (on Route 28) on your left, make your second right onto Bridge Street (you will see a large sign that says Phoenicia) and then take your first left onto High Street.
  4. Follow High Street along the stream, under the overpass which continues as Woodland Valley Road.
  5. Continue approximately 1.7 Mile then immediately after the “Dangerous Intersection” sign on the right, turn onto Pantherkill Road (there is a small sign, “Menla Mountain,” at the intersection).
  6. Continue up to the end of the road (.9 Miles) where you will enter the gates of Menla. Please see our website for a map.
  7. We are located at 375 Pantherkill Rd, Phoenicia NY 12464, which is the end of the road.
  8. Once you enter the Menla front gate, continue straight up a slight incline (past the Maintenance Shop on the left) until you see the main building, Lhasa Inn, and its parking lot directly in front of you.
  9. You can park in the main parking lot, and enter Lhasa Inn through the middle door for Registration at the Front Desk.

By Bus from NYC:

At the port authority terminal, take the trailways bus to Phoenicia, NY. From there Menla will pick you up.

Please note Menla charge $5 dollars/person each way for the Menla shuttle, and they need to know in advance when you are arriving. The best way to notify us is via email: frontdesk@menla.org. Please also note that reservations are not required for Adirondack Trailways (if a bus fills up, they simply send a second one).

Flying:

All airports (JFK, Laguardia, Newark, Albany, and Stewart) have public transportation to the local bus station or stop along the Adirondack Trailways bus route. In NYC, this is the Port Authority terminal on 40th St. Take the Trailways bus to Phoenicia, NY. From there Menla will pick you up.

Carl Radke

Carl Radke, Pittsburgh native and Syracuse University TV/Film grad has been working around the TV industry since he was 20 as a model/actor/production assistant. You may recognize Carl from starring as a TV personality on the hit Bravo reality series ‘Summer House’ which began airing in 2017 and Season 7 coming on the horizon. He also currently serves as VP of Sales for Loverboy and is a founding member of the growing better for you alcohol brand. Carl has always had a close relationship to mental health advocacy with his involvement with Heal Our Heroes/Headstrong, a non-profit for mental health resources for our military veterans. Through his own mental health journey Carl has been focused on meditation, therapy, acupuncture to compliment his self care. In August 2020 Carl lost his older brother to several years of addiction and mental health issues. Carl hopes to share his journey and his brother’s story to help families and individuals to break the stigma around addiction and mental health in our society.
