Open Source Retreat – Race Brook Lodge

Apr 25, 2025

EVRYMAN Open Source Retreat East Coast

Whether this is your first or 10th Open Source retreat, you’re in for a bad ass weekend of transformation, growth, and brotherhood. Led by EVRYMAN Co-Founder Dan Doty and Foundations Grad Core McCarthy, you’ll tap into your emotions, rediscover what matters, and gain practical tools to face life’s challenges with purpose.

Join us April 25–27 in Upstate New York at our cherished home—a timeworn barn that may be a bit cold but always delivers. This 3‑day retreat is where our journey began, offering the perfect space to recharge, reconnect, and refocus.

Who It’s For:

This experience is for the man ready to reconnect with his true self—to start or restart living the life he truly envisions. It’s a space for reflection and growth, where you’ll discover clarity, build emotional resilience, and deepen your connection with both yourself and others. If you feel that pull toward change, this retreat offers a gentle invitation to explore a more intentional, fulfilling way of being. Only you can decide if you’re ready; if you are, embrace the journey ahead

What to Expect at an EVRYMAN Open Source Retreat

This isn’t your typical weekend getaway. Over three days, join 20 men and a team of dedicated facilitators on a journey of genuine transformation. We set aside everyday expectations to embrace raw vulnerability and honest connection, diving deep into self-exploration and building emotional resilience.

Through group challenges, shared meals, and plenty of laughter, you’ll get your hands dirty, rediscover what truly matters, and forge lasting bonds. By the end of the weekend, you’ll feel lighter—both emotionally and mentally—with a renewed sense of purpose and a new band of brothers by your side.

Nervous? Good.

Feeling a bit nervous means you’re ready to embrace change. This isn’t a leisurely stroll—it’s a challenging journey that demands raw honesty and trust. We strip away pretense to create an environment for authenticity and genuine connection. Trust us? Ask the hundreds maybe thousands of men who have walked away more clear and connected then they’ve ever been.

Why Nature?

Imagine a weekend in a rustic cabin, surrounded by unfiltered nature. It’s more than a backdrop—it’s a space where you can let your guard down, be authentic, and connect deeply with yourself and others.

Retreat Goals

At Open Source, our mission is simple: help every man experience transformation. Walk away closer to your true self, equipped with practical tools for life’s challenges, and bonded with a brotherhood that’s got your back.

Are you ready to get real?
